Friends, family, walks and coffee

We did manage to get a ride in on Saturday morning, despite the continuous rain. We left at 6:30 - when we got to Coolum it started raining - it left when we finished breakfast, and started again when we got back to the carpark at Twin Waters. How's that for luck!

Here are the girls...

Wendy, Shirley, Amanda, Me and Lorraine

Bernice, Dave and Vanessa came up for a brief visit on Saturday. We had a lovely meal with them on Saturday evening - Mally also came over and spent the night. Vanessa was convinced that the baby would arrive while she was here - but we're still waiting!

On Sunday morning we all headed off to our "local" cafe for breakfast (The Pastry Chef in Alexander Headlands). We have spent many mornings there having coffee and their delicious fruit toast for breakfast, and most Friday's we go down for Friday - Pieday at lunchtime.

Here's a picture of Mally and Vanessa outside the cafe (raining yet again!).

Glen left on Monday morning to go to Papua New Guinea for the week. He's meeting Joe Hedges from VSI, and they are going to sort out some problems with the Oil Advantage sensors installed in PNG. Trevor and Kirsty arrived in the afternoon and have spent the past 2 nights here. We're desperately trying to get our new website (www.koodlekids.com) launched. I went for a walk on Monday evening in the rain. Here are some photos - not very good, but the surf was huge, and although cold, it was a lovely evening.

On Tuesday morning, we went to a new cafe we found in Mooloolaba - The Velo Project. It is tucked away in a residential area, decorated beautifully using Op Shop finds, and has a lovely European atmosphere.

Brother and Sister share a moment!

Love these folks ...
